Are your dreams and goals becoming a reality, or do they just float around as wishful dreams and goals?
If the latter is the case, it could be you need to put some serious F.U.N. into your life.
What do I mean?
We’ll after Ruth & I caught up this weekend with International Senior Triathlete, Kari Martens, I had to share this perspective on F.U.N. and it’s relation to success with you…
Kari’s achievements include second place at the Decatriathlon (2008, in Mexico ), the only competition at the distance 10 times the ironman distance, at the time 8 days, 20 hours. He is the only Swedish person who has completed this distance (38 km swimming, 1800 km cycling, 422 km running, with the competition clock running all the time).
Other achievements include:
21 competitions conducted at Ironman distance
1 competition conducted at Ultraman distance (10 km swimming, 360 km cycling, 84 km running in three days, in Hawaii ), 2nd in the 50 year class.
These achievements are all the more remarkable when you consider Kari’s motivation to take up the sport. Following a heart attack due to unhealthy lifestyle choices, Kari not only realised he needed to change, he took action.
The key difference between those who succeed in this life and those who fail lies in responsibility for action.
I hope you’re encouraged by the video.
